Mammotome Clinic
It is a simple procedure that can remove it without a skin incision.

What is the Mammotome procedure?

The Mammotome (Vacuum Assisted Breast Biopsy) is a minimally invasive procedure that removes breast lumps without surgical incision.

Unlike traditional excision, a slender needle with a side port creates vacuum suction to draw the lesion in, and a built-in rotating cutter removes it precisely.

The excised tissue is immediately retrieved for pathology, providing effective early detection and prevention of breast cancer.
Compared with open surgery, it typically results in less pain and scarring and a faster recovery, making it a preferred option for many patients.

Because breast lumps do not resolve spontaneously, regular check-ups and, when needed, Mammotome treatment for preventive care are recommended.

When Mammotome is Needed

When a breast lump is detected

If ultrasound confirms a lump,
accurate diagnosis and removal may be necessary.

When the size or shape changes

If a lump grows over time or becomes irregular,
early removal is recommended.

When pain or discomfort persists

If a lump causes pain, tenderness, or discomfort,
Mammotome can help.

When a tissue diagnosis is required

Mammotome allows immediate tissue retrieval,
enabling early diagnosis and prevention of breast cancer.

Mammotome safely removes lumps without an incision, allowing diagnosis and treatment to proceed at the same time.

Mammotome Procedure Steps

Step 01

After local anesthesia, the needle is placed near the breast lesion.

Step 02

Vacuum suction draws tissue into the needle’s side port.

Step 03

Once inside the port, a rotating cutter removes the tissue.

Step 04

The specimen is extracted and sent for immediate pathology.

※ Outcomes may vary by individual, and complications such as pain, bleeding, or infection may occur.

Privée Special

Minimal scarring

A woman’s breasts are incredibly precious. It’s only natural to want to leave as little scarring as possible.
At Privee, we truly understand that desire — and while others may rely on a single type of scalpel, we use four.

Depending on the location, size, and shape of the lesion,
we carefully select different tools and techniques to minimize scarring and ensure the most refined results.

Minimal Discomfort

Surgery often brings fear of pain, especially for those with previous experiences like mammotome procedures.

At Privee, we use a combination of advanced anesthetics and ultra-thin needles to minimize pain — even during anesthesia.
We ensure complete numbness before starting, through careful communication with our patients.

Precise Procedure

Two board-certified surgeons with extensive clinical experience perform all procedures directly.
Using the latest ultrasound equipment—comparable to that used in university hospitals—we ensure highly accurate diagnostics.
Potentially cancerous breast lumps are safely removed using the Mammotome (ENCO) system.

Even patients with breast implants can receive treatment without damage to the implants,
thanks to the expertise of our experienced surgeons.
