Equipment at Privee Breast Clinic
At Privee Breast Clinic, we operate on the principle that not even the smallest detail should be overlooked.
By using the latest high-resolution breast ultrasound systems and advanced equipment on par with university hospitals,
we provide more precise and meticulous examinations and procedures.
Mammotome (Vacuum-Assisted Breast Biopsy)
In Ulsan, the term “Mammotome” commonly refers to the use of a vacuum-assisted breast biopsy (VABB) system.
This method involves inserting a thick needle into the breast to extract tissue through vacuum suction, either for biopsy or removal purposes.
At Privee Breast Clinic, we use both the EnCor Enspire and Bexcore systems, selecting the most suitable device and needle size for each individual case.
We utilize different needle gauges—7G and 10G for EnCor, and 8G and 10G for Bexcore to ensure optimal treatment tailored to the patient’s specific needs.
Encor Enspire
#Breast Biopsy System
Enables both biopsy and removal of suspicious breast lesions
Well-suited for insertion into dense breast tissue, which is commonly found in Korean women
Offers high precision for accurate and effective procedures
Bexcore
#Breast Biopsy System
Developed by a leading breast cancer specialist in Korea
Especially effective for removing large, hard-to-excise tumors
Ideal for treating multiple tumors that occur simultaneously Compatible with ultrasound-guided procedures for enhanced precision
Ultrasound Imaging Equipment
Breast ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to help detect breast cancer or tumors,
and is especially effective for women with dense breast tissue.
However, since some types of breast cancer—such as those presenting as microcalcifications—may not be clearly visible on ultrasound,
it is often more effective to perform mammography in conjunction with ultrasound for a more comprehensive evaluation.
